We're pleased to announce the v12.26 release, focusing on payday-based superannuation reporting, STP compliance updates, and improvements to KiwiSaver processing.
What's new
Feature | Details |
You can now report superannuation contributions by payday instead of the contribution period, giving you greater flexibility and alignment with SuperStream requirements.
From 1 July 2026, qualifying earnings for superannuation will be reportable in Single Touch Payroll (STP) submissions, keeping your payroll compliant with the latest ATO requirements.
The maximum superannuation contribution base can now be applied as a yearly cap, giving you more accurate control over employer super contributions.
A new mandatory Regular Pay Day field has been added to AU pay group maintenance, capturing the standard payment day of the week to support accurate payday-based SuperStream contribution grouping.
The Opening Accrual (Excluding Transfers) column in pay batch Wage Costs now scopes by financial year rather than contribution period for batches with a payment date on or after 1 July 2026.
The Transferred Within the Contribution Period column has been renamed to Balance Transferred and updated to scope by financial year for batches dated on or after 1 July 2026.
At the Wage Costs stage, only super funds applicable on or after the pay batch payment date are displayed, suppressing historical funds to prevent inadvertent manual adjustments.
Payroll clerks can now record multiple ETPs of the same type against different pay codes, enabling the correct split of OTE and non-OTE components for super and STP reporting.
The Amount Period To Date field in the Payslip Super section will now print the accrual for the corresponding pay period instead of the contribution period for payments made from 1 July 2026.
When using Report by Payday, the SuperStream batch header now displays the selected Regular Payday and Payment Cut Off Date instead of the Payment Period field.
The SuperStream Batch report header now shows Regular Payday and Payment Cut Off Date for payday-based batches, replacing the Contribution Period field.
The Contribution Payment Period column in SuperStream search results has been renamed Payment Period / Payday and now displays the payday and cut-off date for payday-based batches.
Member Family Name, Given Name, and Other Given Name fields are now automatically truncated to 40 characters when generating SAFF files, ensuring SuperStream specification compliance.
SAFF file telephone logic has been updated: the Landline field is no longer populated, and the Mobile field now applies strict formatting and validation rules to ensure only valid Australian mobile numbers are included.
For NZ Normal pay batches, the payee KiwiSaver deduction rate is now resolved using the payment date rather than the pay period end date, ensuring compliance with IRD's receipts-based attribution.
KiwiSaver payee deduction for adjustments is now calculated on current batch earnings only, removing the prior reversal-and-recalculation approach across all batches in a period.
For Normal NZ pay batches, the KiwiSaver employer rate, pay code group, and payee eligibility are now all resolved using the payment date, with adjustment batches continuing to use the adjustment period end date.
YTD Employer KiwiSaver, YTD Total ESCT, and KiwiSaver ESCT YTD payslip fields now include historical batches based on their payment date rather than pay period end date, aligning with IRD's receipts-based tax year attribution. |
