This release includes significant functional changes you need to be aware of before upgrading to v12.26. Some require specific actions before or immediately after upgrading.
Before you upgrade
⚠️ Warning: Ensure no pay batches remain open in the Payroll module at the close of business on your notified upgrade date. All pay batches must be closed before FastTrack can proceed with upgrading your environment.
Payday superannuation (AU only)
This release introduces several enhancements to support payday superannuation, which takes effect on 1 July 2026. We recommend you refer to Payday Superannuation - What You Need to Know and familiarise yourself with the steps for transitioning to payday superannuation.
Specific functionality changes made in this release to cater for payday superannuation are detailed under Payroll Module v12.26.
New mandatory field for pay groups (AU only)
A new mandatory field has been added to the pay group configuration that you must set for each active pay group before you process pay runs. For more information, see Regular Payday for Pay Groups (AU Only).
Maximum superannuation contribution base annual cap (AU only)
From 1 July 2026, the maximum superannuation contribution base (MSCB) will be capped annually instead of quarterly. If you have custom reports that reference the rar.SuperEligibilityRule.MaximumQuarterlyEarnings database field.
📌 Note: Although the field will not be renamed, for superannuation eligibility rules that take effect on 1 July 2026, that field will store an annual threshold value instead of a quarterly threshold value.
Employer superannuation supplement documents (AU only)
FastTrack360 allows you to issue an employer superannuation supplement document alongside employee payslips. This document provides a breakdown of an employee's superannuation accruals for the current contribution period of each of their superannuation funds.
From 1 July 2026, the introduction of payday superannuation removes the concept of contribution periods, making the employer superannuation supplement obsolete. The document will no longer reflect meaningful data for pay batches with a payment date on or after 1 July 2026.
⚠️ Important: If you currently issue the employer superannuation supplement to employees, stop doing so before closing any pay batch with a payment date on or after 1 July 2026. To stop issuing the document, remove it from all pay document format groups.
Click Maintenance, then click Document Designer.
