Time conditions let you control when a pay/bill code rule applies based on shift start time, shift end time, or time worked.

Important: Time conditions can be defined for time rules, schedule rules, and client schedule rules only.

How to Define a Time Condition

  1. In Edit Pay Agreement, go to the Conditions tab, then in the Pay Code Rule Entry pane click Add next to Time Condition.

  2. In the Time Condition Type column, select the condition you want to base the rule on:

    • Shift Start Time.

    • Shift End Time.

    • Time Worked (based on a specific shift start and end time).

  3. In the Comparison Type column, select how you want to compare times:

    • Equals.

    • Less Than.

    • Less Than Equals.

    • Greater Than.

    • Greater Than Equals.

    • Between.

  4. If you selected a comparison type other than Between, click the clock button in the Time column, then select the time the condition should compare against.

  5. If you selected Between, click the clock buttons next to Time From and Time To, then select the earliest and latest times the condition should apply to.

  6. To add another time condition, click Add next to Time Condition again to insert a new blank row, then repeat steps 2–5.

📌 Note: After you set the time in the Time column, the time condition is defined. Do not continue to the next step.

🤔 FAQs

Q1: What does “Between” do?

  • Answer: It applies the condition only when the time falls within the Time From and Time To range you select.

Q2: Which time field do I set if I don’t choose “Between”?

  • Answer: Use the Time column (via the clock button) to pick the single time used by the comparison (for example, “Equals 07:00” or “Less Than 09:00”).
