How to Create a Conditional Variable on a Bill Agreement

Learn how to add and manage conditional variables on a bill agreement so you can control agreement behavior based on defined values.

Conditional variables allow you to define specific values on a bill agreement that can be used to control how the agreement behaves. You can create variables, add one or more values, and choose whether the variable is mandatory.

This article explains how to create a conditional variable and save it on a bill agreement.

Create a Conditional Variable

  1. Open the bill agreement in the Edit Bill Agreement screen.

  2. At the header of the agreement, click Conditional Variables & Click Add to open Conditional Variables panel.

  3. In the Variable Name column, click inside the blank field and type a name for the new conditional variable.

  4. Add Variable Name. For example: Nurse Classification.

  5. Tick Mandatory if the conditional variable is mandatory.

  6. In the Values row, click Add.

  7. Click inside the blank field under the Values column and type a value for the conditional variable.

  8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you have added all required values for the conditional variable.

  9. At the top of the Conditional Variables pane, click Save.
    A confirmation message is displayed to confirm the conditional variable has been saved successfully.

  10. At the header of the agreement, click Save.
    A confirmation message is displayed to confirm the bill agreement has been saved successfully.

Managing Conditional Variables

  • To delete a conditional variable value, click the Delete button next to the relevant value.

  • To delete an entire conditional variable and all its associated values, click Remove next to the variable name.
