This article explains how to submit a mobile timesheet once you have entered all relevant information for the pay period, and what to expect from the approval process. It also covers how prefilled timesheets behave and when you may need to edit them before submission.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: Timesheets usually need to be submitted by a specific day and time each week, fortnight, or month, depending on your pay and billing cycle. If you are unsure, check your organisationโ€™s submission deadlines.

Submit a Mobile Timesheet for Approval

To submit a mobile timesheet for approval, follow these steps.

  1. Go to the Available Timesheets list or Incomplete Timesheets list.

  2. Click the timesheet you want to submit for approval. The timesheet opens in the timesheet entry screen.

  3. Review the timesheet details, then make any changes you need (for example, to attendance, allowances, or reimbursement claims).

  4. At the top of the timesheet entry screen, click Submit. The timesheet closes, its status is set to Submitted, and it moves to the list of submitted timesheets.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: If your timesheet is prefilled from your job schedule and your attendance, allowances, and reimbursements have not changed, you can submit the timesheet without making any edits.

What Happens After You Submit a Timesheet

Once you submit a timesheet:

  • The timesheet status changes to Submitted to indicate it is awaiting approval.

  • The timesheet moves from your Incomplete or Available list to your list of submitted timesheets.

  • The relevant approver or approvers review the timesheet and either approve or reject it.

  • If the timesheet is rejected, you must edit the timesheet to correct any issues, then submit it again for approval.

  • Timesheets may go through multiple levels of approval and remain in the Submitted status until all approval levels are complete.

Best Practices

  • Always submit your timesheet before the deadline for your pay or billing cycle to avoid delays in payment.

  • Review your hours, allowances, and reimbursement claims carefully before submitting a timesheet.

  • If your timesheet is prefilled and matches your actual schedule and claims, quickly verify the details, then submit without changing the prefilled information.
