View the Components of an Agreement

Learn how to use the navigation pane in the Edit Pay Agreement screen to view agreement headers, attachments, conditional variables, and interpretation rules.

This article explains how to work with the navigation pane in the Edit Pay Agreement screen so you can quickly find and review each part of a pay or bill agreement, including headers, attachments, conditional variables, and both primary and secondary interpretation rules.

⚠ Important: You cannot edit, add or delete conditional variables if the agreement is assigned to a job order or job order template.


View the Components of an Agreement

  1. Open the agreement you want to review in the Edit Pay Agreement screen.

  2. Use the navigation pane on the left-hand side to expand each section and view the components of the agreement.

πŸ“Œ Note: The navigation pane contains separate sections for the Agreement Header, Primary Interpretation, Secondary Interpretation, and other components. Each section can be expanded to show its sub-components.

When you open an existing agreement, the navigation pane lists only those sets of primary interpretation rules and secondary interpretation rules where the validity period end date is the current date or later.

View the Agreement Header

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen.

  2. Then click the Agreement Header tab if it is not already selected.

The Agreement Header pane appears at the top of the page, allowing you to view and edit the attributes of the agreement header.


View Attachments

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen.

  2. Then click the Attachments tab.

The Attachments pane appears at the top of the page, allowing you to view, add and remove files attached to the agreement.


View Conditional Variables

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen.

  2. Then click the Conditional Variables tab.

The Conditional Variables pane appears at the top of the page, allowing you to view, edit, add and delete conditional variables belonging to the agreement.

⚠ Important: You cannot edit, add or delete conditional variables if the agreement is assigned to a job order or job order template.


View a Primary Interpretation Header

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen, scroll to the Primary Interpretation section in the navigation pane, then click the arrow to the right.

  2. In the expanded Primary Interpretation section, click the set of primary interpretation rules that you want to review.

πŸ“Œ Note: Each set of primary interpretation rules is represented by either:

  • A validity period (for example, 01/04/2010 – 25/01/2014), or

  • A single date (for example, 26/01/2014) if the primary interpretation header does not have a validity end date.

The selected primary interpretation expands to list the Primary Interpretation Header and the Primary Interpretation Rules, allowing you to view, edit or delete the primary interpretation header.


View a Primary Interpretation Rule

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen, scroll to the Primary Interpretation section in the navigation pane, then click the arrow to the right.

  2. In the expanded Primary Interpretation section, click the set of primary interpretation rules that contains the rule you want to view.

πŸ“Œ Note: Each set of primary interpretation rules is represented by either a validity period (for example, 01/04/2010 – 25/01/2014) or a single date (for example, 26/01/2014) if the primary interpretation header does not have a validity end date.

The selected primary interpretation expands to list the Primary Interpretation Header and the Primary Interpretation Rules.

View the Time Rounding Rule

  1. If you want to view the time rounding rule.

  2. Then click Time Rounding Rule.

The Time Rounding Rule Entry pane opens on the right-hand side of the screen, allowing you to view or edit the time rounding rule.

View Midnight Boundary Rules

  1. Click Midnight Boundary Rules.

  2. In the Midnight Boundary Rules section, click the view / edit action next to the midnight boundary rule you want to display.

The Midnight Boundary Rule page appears, allowing you to view or edit the rule.

View Unpaid Break Rules

  1. Click Unpaid Breaks.

The Unpaid Breaks section expands to list the existing unpaid break rules belonging to the primary interpretation header.


View a Secondary Interpretation Pay/Bill Code Rule

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen, scroll to the Secondary Interpretation section in the navigation pane, then click the arrow to the right.

  2. In the expanded Secondary Interpretation section, click the relevant pay or bill code rule type, depending on the type of rule you want to view.

    • For example, to view a time rule, click the arrow to the right of the Time Rules section.

  3. In the expanded section, click the view / edit button next to the name of the rule you want to view.

The Pay Code Rule Entry page appears, allowing you to view or edit the pay or bill code rule.


View a Secondary Interpretation Pay Rate Rule

  1. In the Edit Pay Agreement screen, scroll to the Secondary Interpretation - Pay Rate Rules section in the navigation pane, then click the arrow to the right.

  2. In the expanded Secondary Interpretation - Pay Rate Rules section, click the name of the pay rate rule you want to view.

The Pay Rate Rule Entry pane opens on the right-hand side of the screen, allowing you to view, edit or delete the pay rate rule.
