πŸ—οΈ There are two types of custom bill formula components:
β€’ Fixed Value Component – a single fixed numeric value reused in formulas.
β€’ Bill Oncost Group Component – a grouped set of bill oncosts used as one formula element.

Fixed Value Formula Component

  1. Go to Rates and Rules, then Maintenance, then Custom Bill Formulas, then Formula Component Maintenance. The Formula Component Maintenance screen opens.

  2. Click Add to open the Formula Component Entry screen.

  3. Update the Country field if the component applies to a different country.

  4. Enter a descriptive Name.

  5. Add a Description explaining the purpose of the component.

  6. In Settings, select Fixed Value, then enter the required numeric value.

  7. Click Save. The formula component is saved.

Bill Oncost Group Component

  1. Go to Rates and Rules, then Maintenance, then Custom Bill Formulas, then Formula Component Maintenance.

  2. Click Add to open the Formula Component Entry screen.

  3. Update the Country field if needed.

  4. Enter a descriptive Name.

  5. Add a Description outlining the purpose of the grouped oncosts.

  6. In Settings, select Bill Oncost to display a list of bill oncosts.

  7. Select one or more oncosts from the list. The selected items display in the Bill Oncost List field.

  8. Click Save. The formula component is saved.

πŸ’‘ Best Practices

  • Use clear names so users can identify components easily when building formulas.

  • Group oncosts logically to simplify large or complex formulas.

  • Use fixed value components for frequently reused numeric amounts.
