Bulk Rate Update allows you to import changes to rates using a file, rather than updating records individually. Due to the impact on system performance and processing, it is strongly recommended that bulk rate updates are performed outside normal business hours.

πŸ“Œ Note: Rates may fail to update if they are:

  • Locked for editing in Rates & Rules or Recruitment Manager.

  • Being used by the Interpreter service for timesheet interpretation.

  • Included in a Back Pay Batch in Rates & Rules.

Import Updated Rates

  1. Navigate to Rates & Rules, then Bulk Rate Update, then Import. The Bulk Rate Update Import screen is displayed.

  2. Click Import Rates.
The file selection dialog box is displayed.

  3. Browse to and select the file that contains the updated rates, then click Open.

    • The system begins validating the file.

    • If mandatory columns and data types are valid, a warning message is displayed advising that bulk updates should be completed outside normal working hours.

    • If validation fails, an error message is displayed, and the batch is not submitted.
For more information, see Validation Errors & Exceptions.

  4. Click Yes to continue with the import. Otherwise, click No.

  5. If you proceed, a confirmation message is displayed to confirm that the import batch has been successfully submitted for processing.

After the Import Is Submitted

  • An email notification is sent to your email address when the import batch has finished processing.

  • Processing time depends on factors such as:

    • The size of the imported file.

    • The number of rates being updated.

You can check the status of your import batch by using the search functionality on the Import tab of the Bulk Rate Update screen.

For more information about file issues or failed updates, see Validation Errors & Exceptions.
