Rates and Rules Maintenance

Learn how to access and use the Maintenance area in Rates & Rules to configure the settings.

Before the Rates & Rules module can be used, key configuration must be completed in the Maintenance area. This area allows you to set up and manage the core objects that Rates & Rules relies on to calculate pay and billing outcomes.

⚠️ Important: Only users with the appropriate permissions can access the Maintenance area. You can only access the Maintenance area if you are logged in as an Agency user with the Systems Maintenance permission.

How to access the Maintenance Area

  1. Open Rates & Rules.

  2. Click Maintenance near the top right-hand corner of the screen.

The Maintenance area is used to configure and manage the following objects:

  • Holiday types

  • Holiday rules

  • Pay codes

  • Bill codes

  • Bill oncosts

  • Pay oncosts

  • Standard rates rounding

These objects are used throughout Rates & Rules to support pay and billing calculations.

πŸ“Œ Note: Rates & Rules cannot be used until all required maintenance objects have been configured. Ensure the relevant setup is completed before creating or applying rates, rules, or agreements.
