Timesheet reports help approvers and client contacts review timesheet activity, validate entries, and reconcile items such as sick leave, overtime, and expense claims.
β Important: Client Contact users with Reporting permission can run these reports. They are not filtered by 'Is Workflow Participant', so users may see timesheets they are not directly involved in.
The Timesheet Detail Report has been replicated in Timesheet & Interpretation. Client Contacts cannot action the Reporting Module version, so the original version remains available in Time & Attendance.
Understand Timesheet Reports
Timesheet reports allow you to filter and view specific timesheet activity based on payees, dates, attendance types, absence reasons, manual items, exceptions, and more. Two report types are available:
Summary Reports β Show high-level totals and counts.
Detail Reports β Include full entry-level detail and additional filter criteria.
π Note: Access to timesheet reports depends on your security permissions. If you are authorised, you will see Reports under Time & Attendance.
Example Scenarios
These scenarios explain how timesheet reports support common reconciliation tasks.
Scenario 1: Checking Sick Leave Usage
A payee submits a sick leave claim. You can generate a report filtering by:
Payee name.
Timesheet end dates within the past year.
Absence type set to Sick Leave.
This helps you confirm entitlement before approving the timesheet.
Scenario 2: Identifying Excess Saturday Hours
Payees may receive overtime for Saturday work but are limited to four hours. You can run a report filtering by:
Attendance entries on Saturdays.
Duration greater than four hours.
This highlights any overtime exceptions requiring review.
Scenario 3: Reviewing Taxi Fare Reimbursements
Payees claim reimbursement via manual items. To monitor total spend for a period, filter by:
Week ending date.
Manual item type such as Taxi.
This shows all taxi-related reimbursement claims for the selected week.
